Found Objects Creative Therapies
Found Objects: a gathering of people, moments, experiences or things that are found and sometimes brought together, and kept because of some intrinsic interest the holder sees in it.
ABOUT ARTS THERAPY
Arts Therapy is a therapeutic approach using creativity as a means of exploring, expressing and communicating. It engages the mind and body to curiously seek out what may be blocking or preventing us from moving forward.
It can be useful in reducing stress, building capacity, developing awareness, acknowledging embodied presence, emotional health and supporting personal change and personal autonomy.
Sessions use a selection of modalities including (but not limited to) paint, markers, clay, collage, movement and sound to uncover the complexities of life in a safe environment.
Arts Therapy supports the lived experience of all persons, at any stage of life. It considers an individual approach to working with clients with a trained therapist who is there to help guide and hold the space.
ABOUT FOUND OBJECTS
Found Objects Creative Therapies is a Melbourne based Creative Arts Therapy practice. Kimberly has a non-judgmental and calm demeanor that puts participants at immediate ease. The activities she has suggested are creatively freeing with loose parameters that encourage participants to enjoy the creative process without constraint. Post session I felt engaged and calmer with the feeling of creating something personal of meaning for myself. EN, Group Participant
