Create and Unwind
Day Retreat 2026

Sunday 13th September, 2026

Life gets full. Commitments stack up, to-do lists grow, and somewhere in the middle of it all, the things that restore us get quietly pushed aside. This day retreat is an invitation to step away from that for a day and come back to yourself within it.

Set in the CERES Environment Park, Brunswick East, Victoria, this is a small-group day retreat that brings together creating, mindfulness and the simple grounding power of being in nature. No experience needed. No performance required. Just time, space and the chance to make something, including a little more room for yourself.

Marie Pavlik

I have over ten years experience helping women transition to achieve their goals, whatever they are: seeking confidence to take the next step, changing career or returning to work, and wanting more balance, meaning or direction.

I help my clients gain clarity, set realistic goals, and develop actionable plans to overcome obstacles and achieve what they want for their best life.

Kimberly Howeler

With more than five years experience working 1:1 and in group settings as an arts therapist, I have supported a broad population of people in their mental health and wellness journey.

Through art making, we explore what is currently sitting with the participant, and support processing of the thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours.

Testimonials

I felt like i was able to let go and explore, without judgement or rules.  It was nice not to have to be in control of something, and just enjoy myself.

Group Attendee, 2026

After a hectic period at work, this was exactly what I needed.  Time to relax and make art, meet like minded people, have a laughs and a cup of tea.  Thank you for having me.

FAQ

Where is the day retreat located?

CERES Environment Park, Corner Roberts & Stewart Streets, Brunswick East.

How long does the retreat run for?

The retreat is from 10am - 3pm, with a one hour lunch break.

Is it suitable for all people?

Our retreat is designed for anyone seeking rest, creativity, and reconnection in a calm, nature-based setting. No prior art experience is needed, this is a space for gentle exploration, presence, and personal expression rather than outcomes or skill level. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, whether you are navigating change, looking to recharge, or simply carving out time for yourself.  If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know when booking.

Is there parking?

Parking is free within the Brunswick East park.

There are 54 spaces available within the park itself. These can be accessed via the main gate off Stewart Street.

More parking is available on Stewart and Roberts Streets, and paid parking at the Cretan Brotherhood carpark on the corner of Nicholson and Stewart Streets.

Are there public transport options?

Bike or Walk:

The Merri Creek bike path runs along the edge of CERES, so it’s very accessible for walkers and cyclists. You can enter via the gate closest to the Blyth St/Arthurton Road bridge in Brunswick East. Simply follow the green council signs along the path to CERES. The Merri Creek Bike Path also connects to the Capital City Trail.

Public Transport:

Take the Number 96 tram to East Brunswick from the city (from Bourke St, travelling up Nicholson St) to Blyth Street, which is the last stop. CERES is about a 2 minute walk east from the tram stop. Turn right down Stewart St – CERES’ main entrance will be right in front of you, as Stewart St turns the corner and becomes Roberts St. The school’s entrance is further along Roberts St – enter via Lee St.

Northcote, Anstey and Brunswick Railway Stations are the closest to CERES. Take connection buses such as the 508 from Northcote or Brunswick stations or the 503 from Anstey station and you will be a short 2 minute walk from CERES.

For more public transport details check out the Public Transport Victoria website.

I have dietary requirements, can you accommodate this?

Yes we accommodate any dietary requirement. Please let us know when booking

What to wear and bring along?

We want you to be comfortable. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, noting you'll be stretching, walking and creating.  We encourage you to bring your own yoga mat.  Everything else will be provided.

Please reach out if your question is not here.
